I am a creative writer that has a unique point of view on everything. My opinion may not be the same as yours but that's what keeps everything interesting. How boring the world would be if we were all the same.

Book Description

Stephen King calls Jack Reacher “the coolest continuing series character” – and now he’s back in this masterful new thriller from number-one New York Times best-selling author Lee Child.

“Why is this town called Mother’s Rest?” That’s all Reacher wants to know. But no one will tell him. It’s a tiny place hidden in 1,000 square miles of wheat fields, with a railroad stop, sullen and watchful people, and a worried woman named Michelle Chang, who mistakes him for someone else: her missing partner in a private investigation she thinks must have started small and then turned lethal.

Reacher has no particular place to go and all the time in the world to get there, and there’s something about Chang…so he teams up with her and starts to ask around. He thinks: How bad can this thing be? But before long he’s plunged into a desperate race through LA, Chicago, Phoenix, and San Francisco and through the hidden parts of the Internet, up against thugs and assassins every step of the way – right back to where he started, in Mother’s Rest, where he must confront the worst nightmare he could imagine.

Walking away would have been easier. But, as always, Reacher’s rule is: If you want me to stop, you’re going to have to make me.

This book stays true to what you would expect from the author, good and bad. When you read an author consistently you become to have expectations for the stories that they write, this book is no exception. From the amazingly detailed description of the guns to the development in character dialogue, this book is a perfect match for the author.
It is a very dark book. The characters reach down to new lows that seem beneath the character. It is a disappointment to die hard fans. It makes you want to write the author and ask him at which point he lost the direction in which he wanted his characters to go.
If you want to grab a book and sit down and be drawn into it, then this is the book that you want. It is enticing and lively from the very beginning. You want to reach into familiar characters and slap them for not making good choices. You want to yell at the author and ask they are letting things happen. All in all, you love to hate this newest book of the series. It is expected and unexpected and a joy and a disappointment. This book truly has it all. True fans that have read all the books consistently will find fault in some of the low points in which the author reaches. It is much darker than the other books.
