I am a creative writer that has a unique point of view on everything. My opinion may not be the same as yours but that's what keeps everything interesting. How boring the world would be if we were all the same.

Book Description

The Washington Manual of Outpatient Internal Medicine is designed as a companion to the Manual of Medical Therapeutics, addressing the most common encounters in outpatient internal medicine – for example, hypertension and diabetes. Disorders treated in the ambulatory setting fall outside traditional internal medicine; therefore, chapters also cover dermatology, otolaryngology, neurology and psychiatry and ophthalmology. The 2nd edition includes a complete update of all chapters.

Pros
The book is very well organized. It is easy to read and easy to search up terms with. It makes the perfect tool have on hand in your office. You will use it extensively to help with outpatient problems. It is made for the provider, not the patient.
Cons
This is a book for the provider, to help assist with common questions that arise. It is not made to be easy to understand for the patient. Therefore, the terms are hard to read and there is not a lot of clarification as to the meaning of some terms.
Summary
If you are a provider that works in with an outpatient program you will want to acquire this book and keep it on hand to address the common questions and problems that you come across. The book is easy to maneuver through. As it was meant to help with problems, it is easy to navigate and search through. You will like to have it accessible for everyone in your office. The book speaks in clear terms and is easy to use as a reference. It is not meant for patients, so it may have terms that are not clear for them to understand. It is not meant for the everyday person to pick up and read from cover to cover, that does not mean that it is impossible, just that you will need to have some knowledge of terms before you attempt it. There is a kindle version that you can get. It does need some upgrades before it can be useful as a searchable guide. There is a lot information covered in the book that makes it a must have for most settings. You can easily tab the most used pages to make it even more useful.
