For those that are upgrading from another windows program this is the perfect guide. It shows that needs to be done starting with the prompt. You do need to know your basic terms and have some prior knowledge for this to be an easy guide to read.
If you need help this is not the book you want. You have to know basic terms to be able to read this book. There is no index to look up terms that you are not familiar with. It is a very confusing book for anyone who is self-learning.
If you want a great guide to help you with the learning curve that comes with upgrading your windows application then this is what you need. If you are looking to start with windows for you first time then you need a different book. It does not include definitions to key terms that are used through out the book. You must understand the basics to computer software for it to make sense. Otherwise it is very difficult to understand and read. If you want to sift through for terms or keywords there is a table of contents but you will not find a index. This is okay for those who know computer basics because you already have an idea of where it would fit in the book chapter wise but it does those who have no idea where a term would fit into a specific chapter any good. There is good information in this book, as long as you know where you need to look for it. You will not be able to teach yourself from it unless you have knowledge of windows. The average person will not be able to read the book cover to cover without some sort of assistance.

  • 1 - Not recommended for reading.

  • 4 - Engaging, very good book.
  • 5 - Really engaging, excellent book.
